DUMPLINGS

After a very hard training at Gold's gym, my whole body is shaking, i got to reach that 150lbs target, or atleast tone down, it requires a strict diet routine and consistency with cardiovascular and strength training, tough huh? for someone who hasn't been active for a year or  so and had the idea of a workout switching tv stations manually. now even my butt cheeks are aching, i believe they call that muscle glutes, after 2 sessions i already lost 2 lbs, i guess im on a good start, after that 3rd workout session im already starving, so i decided to look for a good meal and reward myself with something good to eat aside from tastless foods and power bars, my stomach dragged me to this Chinese dumplings resto somewhere in Banawe QC, afterall, its lunch time, so i got to eat well and load me up with something i got to burn the whole afternoon, I helped myself with this noodles with dumplings and a silver bread, i wonder why they call it silver though?

THAI CUISINE

Bangkok, well aside from being the city of smiles, is also a haven for lots of tasty Thai cuisines, i stayed at the Phatumwan district and i tried different stuff of food, for a wandering gaijin like me, i always get to try those street foods, here's some of them images of what i enjoyed during my stay at Bangkok, first image was the soup they called Tom yum with a plate of Nasi Goreng, but i believe nasi goreng is an Indonesian dish but hey! it is delicious! Oishi! 2nd photo was from the buffet of Siam Niramit, and boy, i tried all those food i can get, 4th image is Pad thai, i scored an order in the nearby, what should i call it? a carenderia of some sort, but it is good, i love Pad thai, really really tasty, and while im enjoying my Pad thai, i took a snap of this lovely lass having her breakfast i guess in this food joint beside the hotel i resided for a couple of days.

Hikari shitei

using long exposure and a tripod, i tried to capture the given light coming from the window and make that ambient and dreamy feel, it really calms me whenever i got to get shots like this, not much of a post processing, just cropping and resizing done, plus watermark of course.

ZERA, QUEEN OF SERAPHIM

A Spawn character, i really don't know if she's a heroine or the villainess, i just bought this toy model for the pictorial.

Baby be mine.....

One of my favorite models during the last auto show i covered, she's so friendly and accomodating, Baby be mine! (^_^)

HARBOUR SQUARE

After covering an event for a company ( actually it is a fun run ), i got tired chasing those runners and waiting for the right shot ane of course, accuracy is very needed to nail those photo ops, we decided to go to the nearest coffee shop and have some cold chocolate cream chip frappe, as i was sipping on my frappe, i noticed the boats lined up with a kinda reddish skies. grab Nikki from the bag, snapped!

WATASHI WA WATASHI SHITA YO NI 私は渡ししたように

as i was passing by on the way to a vacation of some sort when i saw this beautiful clouds forming a majestic shape with the sky color making a little dreamy of some sort, i pulled over, set the tripod and Nikki, here's a snap of it.

BYE MICKEY.....

"I think he just passed away", i blurted as we saw this poor creature cold and lifeless along the trail of a forest park, " He did not bleed nor ripped by some Feline or something", my good friend and co-photographer said. well, whatever is the cause of death of this poor rodent, i'm sure his dear departed fellows are grieving. (^_^). then i started humming pearl jam's song "rats" as we walked away from the cold carcass ( they don't scurry when something bigger comes their way........ rats! )

SANJURO 椿三十郎,

Sanjuro is a 1962 black and white samurai film by Akira Kurosawa, Starring as the wandering Ronin was Toshiro Mifune, Japan's legendary actor, (Mifune stars in a lot of Kurosawa's film), it is a great film with wits and humor, based on Shugoro Yumamato's short story "Peaceful Days" the story begins with nine young samurai, who are worried about corruption in the leadership of their clan. Although they know of two elders who are "bad," the youths misjudge who the real mastermind behind these two is, and ask that wrong one for help. As the nine meet secretly at a temple and discuss their problem, a ronin (Mifune) emerges from another room where he had been quietly resting. The ronin had overheard their plans and explains the stupidity and naiveté of their conclusions and decides to help them. I was lucky to see this film because im fond of Japanese Samurai films and of course Toshiro Mifune, (The first Mifune film i saw was Seven Samurai, also by Akira Kurosawa), thank you to UP Film Institute Diliman and Japan Information and Culture Center for the said Film Fest, Honto ni suki desu! Banzai Japan!

MAYNILA, MAHAL KONG MAYNILA

I will definitely, definitely miss you.

JUST DO IT? IN PURPLE AND GOLD

Yep, I got my swoosh, in purple and gold, perfect for the athlete with dedication and work ethics just like KB, but i ain't KB nor anything near an athlete with such amazing talents and ethics, but who says i can't wear 'em? anyways, it is also perfect for a gaijin wandering around, taking photos and conveying thoughts and stories with his photos, well? Just do it.

STRAT POWER

Well, been fiddling with my guitar ( guitar 101, clean your guitar on a regular basis ), but instead, i got bored and grab my cam and started to shoot, and shoot and shoot, voila! here's one of them decent shot, on a boring sunday afternoon in the life of a gaijin who wasn't able to wander around.

ENDGAME

I've been a Megadeth fan since my teen and college years, every metalhead my age knows how Megadeth was formed and how Dave Mustaine was kicked out of Metallica and created Megadeth for vengeance, anyway, this is not a technical review of some sort but how i was surprised that the band still has it and went to its roots, and this album can be lined up from the band's previous masterpieces like "Rust in Piece", "Peace sells but who's buying?", "So far, so good.....so what?", " Killing is my business....and business is good". With guitarist Chris Broderick as Mustaine's wingman, the guitars works simply shred, reminds me of the Marty Friedman's era of Megadeth, and with Jimmy De Grasso pounding the skins, i dont miss Nick Menza, my favorite track is "The right to go insane" that thundering bass line reminds me of Dave Ellefson's bass line intro of Peace sells, it made me pick up my bass guitar again, other notable tracks are "1320", "This day we fight",and of course i believe this is the carrier single "Headcrusher", it really made me feel like the days of thrash metal glory is here again. So Hail Mustaine! Hail Megadeth!
